It just kinda pisses me off, ya know?

Wed Aug 26, 2009, 6:59 PM
I normally don't care that I don't have a lot of watchers/pageviews, but when the members of this site that use Deviantart as some sort of softcore porn site, photobucket, or self-shot mirror mash up site; I get kind of pissed off.
I frequently browse new art (mostly photography because that's what I do) and more and more often I'm seeing photos that are of people vacationing, shooting pics of themselves in the mirror and just coloring their faces green, and just now, there was a shot of some dudes penis. I don't care if someone wants to take a photo of their penis, but it wasn't even artistically done. Girls do the same freakin thing. Tits, vaginas, tossed about everywhere. At the very least, these people could try to be artistic. And, I do understand that they get a lot of encouragement. Hell, who doesn't like to see hot photos of the opposite sex (or same sex...or even both...however your boat's rowed), but there are sites that promote that. This isn't one of them.
I'm angry. I'm disappointed. But most of all-I'm jealous. I'm jealous, and I don't care to admit it. I feel that I put enough effort into my photography and this site, that I shouldn't have to post photos of my or some girls private areas to get noticed.
So, I'm going to go watch a movie and throw my little temper tantrum.

Oh. By the way. I entered a photo contest and got put in a gallery! (and I didn't have to get naked to do it.)

Last barrage

Tue Jun 16, 2009, 6:12 PM
Okay, so...I'm taking a break from shooting pictures.
I need to recreate myself and my photography.
I'm tired of capturing shots, being a permanent observer of beauty.
I want to be an artist, not someone who says, "Oh, pretty flower" and shoot a picture.

I see a lot of nature photographers on here, I think I'm equal to most. I'm losing my lust for it though. I love nature and flowers and skies, but I'm bottoming out, falling apart, and it's killing me.

So, if I disappear for a while, you won't notice much. But, maybe, with my return; I'll be better, more creative. And, that, is what I hope.

And now featuring

Sun May 17, 2009, 9:39 PM
So, after much talk about featuring some people, I finally get around to doing so.
Some of these people are popular on here, and some aren't.
But all of these features are from people that I watch, and I love their work.

Hope you enjoy.

First is a couple from a couple that I'm friends with in real life: they rock.
